i worked at mcgavins for 9 years , they do not bake anything in manitoba , it is all shiped in from alberta or quebec , by the time it gets to manitoba it is 2 to 4 days old maybe once in a blue moon the bread will get to manitoba in 36 hours but not often

The McGavin’s Bread Baskets are bakery outlet stores for Canada Bread Company Limited. Our products include a large variety of bread, bagels, buns, English muffins, and tortillas. We carry brands such as McGavin’s®, Dempster’s®, Smart, ® and Villaggio ® to name a few. We sell Discount Bread (bread with only a couple of days of shelf life), surplus bread from over productions, and fresh bread. You can buy only one package or buy in multiples and save. We sell to the public, small businesses, restaurants, hotels, schools and charities. The Winnipeg Bread Basket Stores also carry a variety of bread and buns from local bakeries such as Natural Bakery and Harvest Bakery. Our Discount Special Bread area offers you a treasure hunt of up to 70% off our regular prices for all the brands you love. Come in and fill your freezer. Varieties and quantities vary day by day. You never know what you may find our Discount Special section. We have plenty of items to satisfy your sweet tooth as well. We carry Voortman’s Cookies, Little Debbie’s Snack cakes, a variety of Dare products at unbelievable prices, and other sweet goods such as butter and lemon tarts, coffee cakes and fudge.
